Our Equine Metabolic Support Bundle contains one bag of each listed Organic Seed Press Cake, North Atlantic Kelp, Saigon Cinnamon and Copper.

This protocol includes 150+ servings of each ingredient!

This protocol is ideal for horses experiencing metabolic issues like Cushing's Disease, Insulin Resistance (IR) and Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS).

Organic Saigon Cinnamon

Cinnamon is essential for proper blood sugar support and for it's inhibition of ACTH release from the Pituitary Gland.  This action is critical for controlling metabolic symptoms in horses. Our Cinnamon contains 4% Coumarin, the bio-active component that gives this spice its metabolic system supporting properties.

Organic Milk Thistle Seed Press Cake

Milk Thistle is best known for it's ability to support healthy liver function and reducing fatty liver deposits.  A healthy liver is essential for a strong, balanced metabolism.

Organic Black Cumin Seed Press Cake

Black Cumin Seed Press Cake supports healthy blood sugar levels, improves cellular metabolism, helps reduce abnormal fatty deposits, and helps maintain a healthy weight.

Organic Flax Seed Press Cake

Flax Seed Press Cake improves gut health, increases nutrient absorption, and provides key nutrients like Omega 3s, which contribute to a healthy metabolic response in horses.

Organic Acadian Kelp Meal

The high iodine content in Kelp is essential for proper thyroid function and overall metabolic health.  Acadian Kelp Meal also contains 60+ vitamins and minerals, as well as all essential amino acids while filling nutritional gaps in your horse's feeding program.

Poly Copper

Many horses today suffer from a deficiency of copper.  Poly Copper is a highly bio-available form of copper that is an essential nutrient for many physiologic functions, including skin/hair health, hoof growth, immune function, proper metabolism, etc. Poly Copper is included in all of our protocols to balance the high zinc levels found in our Superfood Seed Press Cakes.

Directions for use:

Top dress on your horse's daily ration.  These directions are for the average size (500kg) horse.  Dosage should be cut in half for ponies and minis.

Cinnamon: 1-2 Teaspoons (December - June), 2-3 Teaspoons (July - November).  The increased supplementation levels are recommended during the fall months to counteract the natural increase in ACTH release during this time.

Milk Thistle Seed Press Cake:  1 Scoop

Black Cumin Seed Press Cake:  2 Scoops

Flax Seed Press Cake:  2-4 Scoops, depending on climate/environment/time of year
